Mesquite/Vegas Trip 2008

We decided last minute that we would take a trip down to Mesquite & Vegas... & we had a blast! ... We left last Friday afternoon & drove down to Mesquite to stay the first night there. The kids did a bit of swimming that night & then we went to a buffet. There was a lady walking slowly through the dining room, past everyone's tables, saying, "Keno. Keno." I kept thinking she was saying, "Ding Dong. Ding Dong." When Megan told me what she was actually saying, we all started cracking up! ... The kids teased me about it all weekend.... Saturday we went to a breakfast buffet & then we rode the go-karts & then drove down to Vegas for the rest of the trip. We stayed at the Rio Hotel - it was so nice! There was swimming & shopping & tons of eating, & checking out new & old buildings on The Strip, & watching the Rio Parade 3 times, ... lots of fun to cram into just a couple days.

Tyson's Birthday & Bambrough Birthday Party

For Tyson's 15th birthday, he got an electric guitar & all of the accessories. It was really fun watching him play it right after he opened it. He already knew how to read music, so he picked it up really quick. Now he can use all of those skills he aquired by playing Guitar Hero! ;)

Rod's Birthday!!

For Rod's birthday, we picked up the kids & we all went out to lunch at Famous Dave's.... This was the first time that any of the kids had gone there & we all had a really good time. Then we went home & Rod opened his presents & his Cinderella birthday card! That got a lot of laughs! We had cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory & it was so yummy!! ... Then for some reason we started arm wrestling & leg wrestling... it was a fun time. :)
